This article is just our view of the no-code AI market, having experimented with dozens of tools and finally deciding to build our own. To keep ourselves honest to that vision we have made Akkio open for anyone to try without cost. That product did not exist - so we made it ourselves. It would need to be end-to-end, with fast, free training to get results quickly, and a deep and effortless integration ecosystem. We wanted something that both delivered on performance while still being as broadly usable as Excel.
If they delivered a lot of valuable features, they often sacrificed ease-of-use, while if they delivered usability, they sacrificed performance and a real value proposition. We found that many no-code tools come with a sacrifice. We’ve explored dozens of no-code AI options. As the number of low-to-no code AI tools grows, it's worth understanding the landscape as not all solutions are made equal, and it can still be very difficult for non-technical folk to build and deploy AI. While no-code web development has been around for decades (think of the late 90s), no-code AI is a lot more recent. Prior to no-code, you’d need data scientists, data engineers, and machine learning engineers to build and deploy AI models. Now, you can use Bubble, Webflow, Carrd, or a myriad of other visual tools. Prior to no-code, if you wanted to make a website, you’d need a technical web developer. Whether that means investigating the impact of air resistance on a race around the playground or helping children understand that food is actually a type of fuel, these easy to initiate activity packs are great for use both in and out of the classroom.“No-code” is more than just hype. We produce a whole host of STEM-related activity packs for inquisitive young minds eager to learn more and have fun in the process. All of our graduates and apprentices also take part in year long community or education projects. To make sure we reach as many people as possible, we have over 1,400 STEM Ambassadors globally, with around 1,200 in the UK from all parts of the business. Whatever the project, it’s about providing the same thrill that our engineers get from their everyday work, early on in life.
That could mean coming up with an idea for autonomous lifeboats, or learning about the science at play within everything from painting to cooking. Whether it’s via our annual Science Prize, our inspiring Work Experience opportunities, or any of the other initiatives and partnerships that are part of our STEM Education Outreach Programme, we’re forging exciting connections between STEM in the classroom and STEM in the wider world. That’s why we’re committed to advancing STEM subjects among the scientists and engineers of tomorrow from their first forays at three years old, to honing their ambitions at the age of 19.
